Trendy Trees
I've just been having a little play with one of the lovely stamp sets we received at Convention...Trendy trees:
The colours are: Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and Whisper White. The Designer Series Paper is from the Haikou selection. The sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess Set, Best Yet, and has been stamped in Basic Black classic ink. The black ribbon is from Papertrey Ink.
The tree is stamped in Riding Hood Red and Basic Brown Classic Ink, and I have covered it with Crystal Effects.
This one was made using pretty much the same ingredients. I have Crystal FX'd the leaves of a couple of the trees, and the ribbon is the Riding Hood Red Satin Ribbon.
On another subject...check out the bump on Mr Three's forehead:
Picture this...small child, in the process of climbing out of the car, with precious biscuit in hand. Small child slips...there are two choices: 1/ drop the biscuit and save your head, 2/ save the biscuit and let you head fend for itself. Which do you think Mr 3 chose? Obviously, this was no ordinary biscuit ;-).
Last, but not least...I couldn't resist the moon, again:
Hope your weekend is a good one.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there.
Sam.

Ouch...that looks like it really hurts!
As for your cards...they're gorgeous! I love this set and I love how you've created a *forest* on the 2nd card...very pretty!
Hope you have a lovely Mother's Day tomorrow and get spoilt rotten :)
Pretty cards! That bump on Mr. Three looks so very familiar to me. :-) Too bad they still don't learn that lesson (drop the biscuit, save your head) for another year or so! Lol! Hopefully the bump has gone down a bit by now.
HI Sam,
love the cards, especially the forest effect on the second one. Can you believe still haven't mounted my Trendy Trees!
Have a Happy Mum's Day :) Chat soon.

Hi Sam, I love these cards... especially the autumn forest. I feel an inspiration coming on (or maybe its a tummy rumble cos we're going out for mothers day brunch, but its still nearly 2 hours away!!).
As for the bump... thank heavens heads are resilient. My big boy would have done just the same, but it would have been a toy car he was saving from getting scratched!!
Have a wonderful Mothers Day today.
Hope Mr.3 recovers soon - he looks soo sad!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE your trendy trees cards - stunning colours!!
Happy Mother's Day
xXx
Love both your cards Sam - those colours are just so pretty. I do like this set but not sure how to handle the other yet that we received at convention! Poor little boy - hope he is as good as new again now.
I love both your cards Sam. Fantastic use of the set.
