Apologies for being a totally hopeless blogger...

....but would you forgive me if I told you I ran my first marathon last weekend...and I've been kinda preoccupied preparing for it?

Being a goon after spotting the finish line from the opposite side of Circular Quay

I ran the Blackmores Sydney Marathon in...well, Sydney (DOH!)....and I am still feeling giddy with excitement at having finished. I ran all 42.195 km in 04:07:04...and after being worried that the six hour cut-off might not be enough time for me...04:07 is a dream finish!

SO....I do hope you'll forgive me...I'm gonna try and make some time to play with paper and glue this weekend :-).

Hurting a bit on the home straight...

Awesome achievement Sam! Well done! I struggle to put one foot in front of the other just walking from Cypress Crescent to the Todd River and back home again trying not to trip on my tongue on the home stretch !!!!! I CANNOT imagine doing what you have just done in Sydney!!! hats off to you.

Are you kidding Sam? I haven't been to visit for a while and this is what I find - even 7 months down the track, I am amazed by you. Hope you are well. I miss your gorgeous creations :-(

I've been thinking about you and decided to come looking before flicking you an email. How I missed this post I have no idea.

OMG look at you go. You look fabulous and four hours is an amazing time to finish in, never mind actually running that distance. SO very proud of you!

Blog soon! Miss you!!!
