I was looking for something to show some markering (is this a word?) on. It's a simple card, but I like it.
When I make it again, I will mix up the colouring of the hearts....so they are not in the same order for each trio. Colours are Only Orange, Yoyo Yellow, Real Red and Whisper White. Possibly also a bit of background stamping required to give it abit of lift...or something....it'll end up being not so simple after all!

'In Colour' Marker Blenders
At convention in Sydney, Shelli showed us this fabulous idea...and being a huge fan of the 'In Colours' (feels like I am talking about the cool kids at school)..I had to make them for myself.
All you need is a three pack of unused blender pens, and the re-inkers for the 'In Colours'. You put a couple of drops of each colour into the cap of each pen, different colour each end. Then punch out a 1/4 inch circle of each colour and glue dot it to the end of the pen, so you can see which colour it is. Potentially messy if your caps leak, you don't put them on properly, you are gesticulating wildly whilst opening etc....but otherwise pretty darn cool, IMO.
PS. Do you like my 'studio' shot? Shame about the crapola DOF....but otherwise I bet you thought I took my reinkers and pens to Pixie Photo and asked them to do me a shot...huh? You did, didn't you ;-).

Workshop Make n' Take
I just finished this workshop Make n' Take idea. It is inspired by a lovely card I saw on Marelle Taylor's blog thINKspot.
Mine is made using Marigold Morning, Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme and Whisper White cardstock (have I mentioned how much I love the '07 In Colours')? The flowers on the Marigold Morning background card are stamped in More Mustard using the floral stamp from Fresh Fillers. The centre is coloured using a white gel pen. The lion is inked in Marigold Morning first, then rock n' rolled in Cranberry Crisp (this is when I realised that laquering the maple blocks prior to use would have been a good idea.....the edges of my lion stamp block are now all stained Cranberry Crisp). I then masked it using a Post'it Note and used the Daisy Field Stampin' Around wheel in True Thyme. The sun is from the Little Pieces set, inked in Marigold Morning and punched out using the 1/2 inch circle punch. It is mounted using a dimensional. The Wild About You is stamped in Bravo Burgundy, and the three brads are brass, from the metallic brads selection.

Going on Safari!
I wish I were going on a safari today (to look...not hunt). It is such a beautiful day. Instead, we are going to go for a bike ride around Lake Burley Griffin. Well, it won't be right around, as I don't think Miss 3 will make it on her trike!
I made this card this morning, but I think it needs something...... I've looked at it for too long now, and I can't work out how to change it. If you know...please let me know.
The colours are Marigold Morning, Vintage Violet, Cranberry Crisp and Whisper White. I've used the Aida Cloth background on the Marigold Morning cardstock, and one of the Eclectic Background stamps on the Vintage Violet cardstock. Faux stitching in white gel pen. The lion is rock n' rolled in Marigold Morning first, then Cranberry crips. Punched using the tag punch, and mounted on some Cranberry Crisp cardstock, cut to size using the Fiskars cutter. I have tied a bit of cold cord on the tag. The 'Best Wishes' are from Cheery Chat, and are embossed in white.

Fishy Friends
It's FRIDAY! Wooooooohoooooo. In celebration of it being the end of another long week, here is a little card I put together last night. I also just made my first watermark using Stampin' Kub's super easy to follow, instructions (THANKS Kurtis!).
This card uses Summer Sun and Not Quite Navy cardstock. I used various Earth Elements markers to colour the Fishy Friends (stamped on Whisper White in Basic Black). The frame and brads around the 'Thank You' is Pewter Hodgepodge. The Thank You is stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink. I have used the fine dots from the Itty Bitty Backgrounds, and also the larger dot from Mixed Bouquet, which is clear embossed. The Faux stitching is done with white gel pen (connecting holes punched using the Crafter's Tool Kit).

Another little trinket
This is a little gift box I made for an earlier workshop. I put one of the Very Punny SAB 2007 stamps inside it and gave them out as lucky door prizes. I thought they looked so cute.
The colours are Buckaroo Blue and Cranberry Crisp. I simply adore our 2007 In Colours. I've seen the new colours due for release in the US, and like them...but am so glad we still have our colours for almost a year. I have bought all of them. Three cheers for whoever put them together at Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps
I have been meaning to take photos of my TWO convention swaps and upload them here. It was a mammoth effort on my part (taking the photos and actually making swaps). I had a grand total of 35 swaps. Next year I have PROMISED myself I will start earlier, and make more. Ahhhhhhh dreams ;-).
This one is my favourite, but it took ages to make, so I only had 8 of these. The colours are Cranberry Crisp, Marigold Morning, True Thyme and Whisper White.
This one is just a bit of fun. I enjoyed making it, and used a tonne of linen thread...which I love. I also love ribbon and cord. My favourite accessories! The colours are Buckaroo Blue, Marigold Morning, True Thyme and Cranberry Crisp. Gold embossing for the cricket and words. The sun is a stamp from Little Pieces, and is on a dimensional. The scalloped edge is made using the slit punch.

Pouchbox
Forgive me please, this coordinating gift idea is really amusing me. The following is a Stampin' Up! Pouchbox in Pumpkin Pie. The large blue flower (from Bodacious Boquet) is clear embossed over Tempting Turquoise classic ink. The Pouchbox contains two incentive stamps, from the Perfect match supply set.
Gift Tag
A little coordinating gift tag, to go with the ribbon samplers...sort of. Might have to work on adding some black into the sampler cover.
Ok, so I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself here (can you tell ;-). These will be the lucky door prize I think, with another set as a hostess gift.
The gift tags are a pack of two.

This is FUN!
Okay, I had so much fun uploading those previous pictures....I'm going to upload some more. These ones aren't so pretty....but I wanted to show my idea for a Lucky Door prize/Hostess Gift. I call them Ribbon Samplers. They have four 50cm samples of different colour Stampin' Up! grosgrain ribbons inside a cello bag. Then they are enclosed in a stamped, half sheet of A4 Whisper White cardstock, with a hole punched out in the front, and a ribbon used to tie them together at the top.
What do you think?

My productive weekend
I finally had a semi-productive weekend. I am going to try and upload some photos here....don't go holding your breath though, because I can not even work out how to upload a hit counter here....doh!
two hours later, and I think I have it sussed.....
Project One: Giraffe card - not a fav...but thought it was pasable.
Project Two: Card for friends who recently had a baby boy.
Project Three: Wedding Congratulations card.
