Rudolph the Real Red Nosed Reindeer...

...had a very shiny nose! DOH!!! I should have embossed it (or glittered it)...ooops. Seriously, there are a few things I'll do differently on the second pass for this card (e.g. not use Choc Chip as one of the underlying layers...it seems to detract from Rudolph). And YES, there will be a second pass....he is so cute, and EASY to make.

I was inspired to make this little reindeer dude after seeing this post, by Monica Gale. Thanks for the inspiration Monica!

List of Ingredients:

Cardstock:
Real Red, Chocolate Chip. Close to Cocoa, Basic Black and Whisper White
Accessories: Swirls Cuttlebug Folder, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities, Word Window Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4 inch Circle Punch, 1 inch Circle Punch, 3/4 inch Circle Punch, Small and Large Oval Punch, White Gel Pen, Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive and Mini Glue Dots.

I also think my reindeer dude looks a bit like he is burning the candle at both ends, either that or he hit the turps last night (is that why his nose is red?)...so in the second pass I will try to have him looking a wee bit perkier!

I'm bopping away here to my iPod (Around the World by Daft Punk ATM)....I love listening to Dance Music while I'm making cards! Ooooh State of Emergency (Nick Skitz) has just come on...gotta run.

:-)
Sam.

PS. My music isn't all dance stuff....I also have Susan Boyle on my iPod...GO SUSAN! She is in a different Playlist though!!

PPS. I really want Underneath the Radar by Underworld but you can't seem to buy it on iTunes. Why is that? Does that mean I have to go buy the real CD or something? Very odd!

Very cute and he does look a little like he has been indulging in too much Christmas cheer but I kind of like it, adds a bit of houmour. Maybe there is a line somewhere that could go with it...Thank you so much for emailing me a copy of the catalogue, I feel rude that I haven't gotten back to yet to say thanks. The kids had their school concert this week over two nights(I helped with costumes and props and did the photos for it) and I had a few extra hours at work as well so between it all I have hardly had time to sit down. So a belated thanks. It's a shame we don't get more of the stamp sets that Stampin up U.S. get, I love ours but some of the sets there are fabulous not to mention the wall decor.
Cheers,
Sue.
